Ingredients

moong dal
rinsed and soaked

carrot
grated

Green chillies
chopped

Mustard seeds

Asafoetida Powder
Salt
to Taste

Instructions
Soak the moong dal for ½ an hour.
Drain add the grated carrot.
Heat oil in a small pan splutter the mustard, add hing/asafoetida.
Add the green chillies.
Pour the tempering in the moong and carrot mix.
Add the rest of the ingredients and stir well.
