Ingredients

Apple

Sugar

all-purpose flour

Baking powder

cinnamon powder

oil
vegetable preferred
2
eggs
beaten
2
teaspoon
vanilla extract
2
tablespoon
milk
optional

Walnuts
chopped
Instructions
Preheat oven to 160°C/320° F.
Grease and flour an 8 inch round pan.
The Apples:
Peel and core the
4 cups Apple
. Chop them into bite-sized pieces. You will need to chop and measure. I needed 4 apples.
In a bowl, mix the
2 cups Sugar
and chopped apples. Set aside.
The Flour:
Sift together the
2 cups all-purpose flour
,
2 teaspoon Baking powder
,
1 teaspoon Salt
and
2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
(if using).
Set aside a few
1 cup Walnuts
walnuts to top the cake and mix the rest of the
1 cup Walnuts
in the flour.
The Wet Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, stir the
½ cup oil
,
2 eggs
and
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
.
Bring it all together:
In the wet ingredients mix the apples and sugar well.
Stir in the flour mixture.
If the batter is dry, add
2 tablespoon milk
and mix well.
To Bake:
Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and spread evenly.
Sprinkle the reserved nuts and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or till the toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
