F or the recent Blog Hop Vardhini had posted noodle cutlets.
I knew I had to make it and so I did! What lovely cutlets they were. It was difficult to say who enjoyed them more the kids or their mother.
Since they have been added with veggies I did not mind the kids eating this junk food to their heart's content also shallow fried takes time but I feel it is healthier. The bonus is no leftover oil to throw out which is something that hurts me deeply and not to mention my pocket.
Ingredients:
2 Instant noodle packets
1 medium carrot, grated
2 potatoes, boiled
1 cup corn, boiled
½ teaspoon garam masala
Salt
2 tablespoon Rava (optional)
Oil
Method:
1. Boil and cool the noodles as per the instructions on the packet.
2. Mix the boiled noodles with all the ingredients except the oil and rava. Since I used only 2 potatoes the mixture did not bind well. Next time I will use atleast 3 or 4 potatoes.
3. Make balls of the noodles mixture and flatten them a bit.
4. Dip them in the rava and shallow fry on a non-stick tava till golden on both sides.
I made two without the rava and they looked better than the ones rolled in rava.
Enjoy with tomato sauce and hot tea.
