Kelyacho Halwo is a preserve made and enjoyed with chapatti, traditionally.  Try it with vanilla ice cream, Peppered cashew nuts!

  1. Slice the bananas and set aside.
  2. In a kadhai/wok, add a little less than 1/4 cups water, cloves, sugar and boil on medium flame until the sugar dissolves and you have a syrup.
  3. Add banana slices and stir.
  4. Boil for about 20 minutes.
  5. Add the ghee and elaichi powder.
  6. Mix and switch off the gas.
  7. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
