Fresh Green Peas Pulao /Matar Pulao

Fresh Green Peas Pulao /Matar Pulao

Winter means delicious cauliflower, juicy carrots and, of course, fresh green peas.

Green Peas can be used to make Mutter Paneer, Peas Palak, Green Peas Stir Fry, Peas and Tofu Pulao, Peas And Cauliflower Pull Apart, and delicious Green Peas Kheer yes green peas can also be made into a kheer that is an Indian sweet that is made with milk and of course, in this case, green  peas. Let’s not forget the delicious Matar ka Nimona, Methi Matar Biryani!!!

Though hubby and I love is a lot the girls are fed up and averse  to eating anything with green peas   so my desire of wanting to meet Peas paratha, Peas kachori or even Peas Soup  are on a hold.

This time, I always wanted to make Matar Pulao but I wanted it white!

You will say what is so difficult do not add colourful flavourings, turmeric being something that I add more out of habit. . So this time, I took I took care and you will agree that my Matar Pulao is white.

The pulao was delicious my daughters enjoyed it. Do try this out in your kitchen and tell me how your family enjoyed it.

This goes as my first entry for quick meals that is my chosen theme for this week. We had this pulao with Green Chillies Pickle, Turmeric Pickle and Raita.

Peas Pulao is such a versatile dish, goes well with any daal or curry. But right now I am eyeing the chilly pickle you have served with it.

What a yummy looking peas pulao Archana. It looks like a dish from a restaurant — love the no-turmeric whiet look.
